Techie Problems Resolved

Thursday-oh no-only one more day!

A glorious day here in the Cairngorms. Some more gorge walks up the Feshie. Tom, Christopher, Eva, Struan and Ellie S did all the slides. Better than Wet and Wild! Francesca, Michael, Beth, Jack and Mrs Brown did the plunge pool twice-Crazy! Seth, Reeve, Mark, Anna S, Sally and Harris all did the gorge too-perfect day for it.
Lots of archery too, Mrs MacKay won her group but got a lovely bruise to add to her black eye from the rafting! Aaron, Rhys, Sam P, Thomas and Kate were future Robin Hoods!
Jack B and Lewis had a hill walk and kept on truckking, Chris J was the life and soul of the walk and kept everyones' spirits up!
Innes, Sarah, Joanne, Emily, Arian and Calum enjoyed a crumbly climb up a steep rockface. Not even a chance to catch their breath though before they had to abseil back down. A hill walk followed with the group orienteering; some expert navigation leading us back to the bus!
Jed, Sapphire, Ailsa, Ben W, Aiden, Egor and Fiona went for a long hill walk. Fantastic views and lots of blisters.
Packing to come home now before the disco.
See you all soon, estimated time of departure 9.30 am, with you around 12 noon-12.30pm.
Apologies for lack of photos - techie issues!

Up Trees and Down Gorges!

Today was Keir's birthday-we sang happy birthday at breakfast. Then he went up the tree and rang the bell in double quick time. Peter was the fastest and Kumin followed behind! Donde, Zaynab, Ben H and Unes all made it up too. Well done!
Another group went up the gorge and Mary was really brave swimming across it. Ciaran and Harvey really enjoyed the water slides. Inseo, Holly and Kyle had their picture taken under the waterfall. Sean and Matthew were in the plunge pool..Joanna was taking photos but still got wet!
Another archery group were scoring colours to bake a cake - Lauren was great. Grace got really good towards the end-practise makes perfect! Melina, Oliver and Dhillon were out in the Canadian Canoes in the afternoon. It was hot and sunny!
Annika and Callum H did really well on the ski slope. Rachel and Aiden were using the tow for the group.
In archery Caeleb scored a perfect bull's eye!

Another Great Day At Camp!

It was a bit damp today but not raining because it doesn't rain at camp! Lots of things going on today; rafting, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, biking and gorge walking. Campbell, Ruary, Molly and Ellie had a fab time (if a bit wet) in the canoes. Ms Gallagher and James went in for a dip in Loch Morlich-it was unplanned but they were able to laugh about it. At the end everyone else went for a swim anyway including Lewis, Eleanor and Lucas.
Mrs Brown and Liam won the Figure of Eight race in their canoe-good listening skills helped there.

One of the mountain biking teams did really well also - full marks to Ben and Yasmin who kept on plugging away at it and succeeded in completing a challenging course (don't believe it was challenging? - just ask Mr 'I have no muscles left in my thighs' Howie).
At archery, Rachel B did really well and amassed a pretty spectacular score!

Rafting on the Spey in fantastic scenery, lots of wildlife with Salmon leaping. Amy fell in first but most people joined in including Hannah, Ben and Eilidh. Mrs MacKay was hit with a paddle during the game-but no permanent damage done.

Everyone managed to make their own packed lunch after breakfast and we had curry for tea. Yum!
Thomas arrived today-better late than never!

Here at last!

Finally the day has dawned and we are at Lagganlia. There were some tears as we left-and that was just the staff!
The journey was uneventful with our usual stop at Dunkeld for lunch.
The drive from Aviemore was stunning, through an Autumn landscape of gold and yellow. When we arrived the sun was out. The Lagganlia staff met us and showed us round the centre, then we had to make our beds! Some people found that more challenging than others.
Then we had some activities, one group went cycling some went orienteering and others had a walk around the area around the centre. One group did some problem solving games; David Avern, Rebecca Roddie, Victoria Underwood and Andrew MacKinder were great team members. Before tea we had some free time and Malcolm Winning and Craig Stolarek took the chance to shoot some baskets.
Tonight we will have a chance to do Nightlines!

Seven more days and then we're off..

Looking forward to some great weather-it never rains at camp!
Mrs Brown and the rest of the P7 staff have spent hours sorting out dorms and activity groups-a great chance to make new friends before you head off to High School.

Think I might pack my hot water bottle just in case.
